At World Gym, we strive to maintain a first-class facility that provides a safe and enjoyable experience for our members. As a handyman/woman, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running and maintenance of our gym, allowing our members to focus on achieving their fitness goals.
Main Responsibilities:
- Facility Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, repairs and maintenance tasks throughout the gymnasium, including equipment, fixtures and facilities.
- Preventive maintenance: Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime and ensure the longevity of our equipment and facilities.
- General repairs: deal quickly and efficiently with various repair requests, particularly in the fields of plumbing, electricity, carpentry and painting.
- Safety compliance: Regularly assess gym safety standards, identify potential hazards and take appropriate measures to maintain a safe environment for our members and staff.
- Equipment troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions, coordinating with outside vendors as necessary.
- Inventory management: Keep track of supplies, tools and equipment, ensuring they are well maintained and properly stored.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments, such as maintenance, operations and management, to resolve any facility-related issues and ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar maintenance role.
- Knowledge of general repair and maintenance techniques in various trades.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to think independently.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying potential maintenance issues.
- Time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Good physical condition.
