World Refugee Day at World Gym Trois-Rivières

“Together we unite, and together we stand” 

At times of troubles and tragedies, the lines that separate us fade, and we begin to see each other as part of the same human race. Refugees are men and women, old and young, who have been forced to abandon their hopes, dreams, and homes because of dire conditions. 

Every year a World Refugee Day is held to raise awareness, and this year is no different. We, as the World Gym Quebec team, believe in the power of a community and advocate for supporting others. For this reason, we will be proudly sponsoring this year’s event on June 19, 2021. People will gather at Carrefour Trois-Rivières to march on treadmills, set up by SANA, for the cause. In addition, Ms. Denise Otis, Office Manager of the United Nations High Commission for refugees will be attending, and participants will be provided with event t-shirts and filmed to broadcast their efforts on all of our social networks. 

On this day, let us all gather and stand as a unified front against all odds of life for we are all connected.
