We know what you’re thinking: What if I like doing only one thing? Let’s start by saying  that we, as fitness enthusiasts, believe that any movement towards improving your wellness is amazing in our book. That being said, if you enjoy jogging, weight lifting, or yoga, it doesn’t mean you don’t have the potential to allow the three of them to compliment each other.

Here are 5 reasons why you should add variety to your workout!

Adaptation is the Enemy

In everyday life, we often use the word ‘adaptation’ as a positive meaning against the word ‘resistance’. This is true everywhere except in fitness. Your body, being the incredible machine it is, needs resistance to defy its own limitations and grow healthier. When you want to lose weight or grow muscles, you need equipment like weights, bands, bars, or even your own body weight to challenge your body to grow its muscles and use its energy to match the resistance you’re throwing at it. What you might not know is, your body adapts to these resistances and eventually it will stop perceiving them as challenging. The more you repeat the same moves, the less effort your body makes to pull them off.

We’ve all written down our list on December 31st every year and went to bed excited to start making it all happen, then woke up the next day and forgot where we even placed the list. It’s easy to dream big, but making it all possible is a whole other ball game. Well, this year is going to be different! We’ve rounded up 5 tips to help you set your New Year’s fitness resolutions the right way so you’d have a much better chance at achieving them all! 

Start Small and Set Realistic Goals

It’s not wrong to aim high and want huge achievements for yourself, but creating goals that are hard to attain to begin with will disrupt your system before you even start! When creating your New Year fitness plan, start with small realistic goals, ones you know you can achieve quickly. After that, increase the level you’re aiming for gradually until your plan ends with the big goals you were initially aiming for. You’ll be knocking out those prize worthy ambitions before you know it!

We continue to better ourselves everyday so we can provide accessible, affordable, and convenient services to drive you towards your goals.

Pour 3 Points is an organization that trains fitness coaches to develop and increase their positive impact on young people in fitness and in life. It has been 10 years now since they turned their belief in social equality for youth from disadvantaged backgrounds into a mission. By training coaches, Pour 3 Points strengthens their role in fostering an environment that motivates and supports the well-being of the youth.

Event At World Gym Griffintown

In honor of their 10-year anniversary, we have joined hands to organize a fundraising event on Saturday November 27, 2021 at World Gym Griffintown. It will include a variety of group classes, Athletics classes, and massage services all while you enjoy the musical entertainment of a DJ! 100% of proceeds will go to Pour 3 Points, so you can show your support to the community and have fun doing it!
